Westside Watershed Resource Center & Stormwater Stars Present: Stormwater Stars 101

Zoom Presentation Wednesday October 16 noon-1:15pm

Implementing simple practices in our yards and community spaces that allow rainwater to infiltrate into the ground and reduce stormwater runoff can have long-term positive impacts on our watershed health. The Stormwater Stars program offers free hands-on installation workshops that demonstrate yard-scale stormwater management techniques. This talk will discuss why this work is important and introduce the 6 practices we work with: lawn replacement/reduction, de-paving, amending soil, porous pathways, container planters, and planting native plants.
