Presentation Application for the 2020 REFORMA Colorado Conference
The REFORMA Colorado Chapter is holding its 8th Annual Conference on Friday, May 8th, 2019 at the Denver Public Library Central Branch.
We’re looking for dynamic presentations that will help Colorado Reformistas and related library personnel serve their Latino users or develop professionally. Topics should relate to our mission and goals:
- To promote development of Spanish-language and Latino/Hispanic oriented library collections
- To support active recruitment of bilingual, bicultural library staff
- To increase Latino/Hispanic awareness of available library services and collections
- To advocate on behalf of the information needs of the Latino/Hispanic community
Presentations on the following topics will have priority: cultural competency, career advancement, leadership and management, and ESL and citizenship programming. Your proposed presentation should fit into a one-hour time slot (around fifty-five minutes in length). Anyone can submit a proposal; you do not have to be a member of REFORMA Colorado to present, although we'd love it if you were! Co-presenters are people who actively contribute content to your presentation. Technical support will be provided at the conference.
