Super Villain Lobby Days:
A vacancy has opened up at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). As super villains bent on the destruction of all things good in the world, it is our duty to ensure that FERC remains fully operational . Their rubber-stamping of fossil fuel infrastructure and the resulting harm done to communities and the climate embodies evil in ways that are to us merely aspirational. To say FERC has our back, therefore, is a gross understatement. It’s time that we have theirs.

Join us in Washington, DC on Tuesday, October 16th as we visit the offices of our senators in Congress. We’ll be asking them to stand with their evil super villain constituents and vote yes on Trump’s upcoming appointment to FERC. Please come dressed in your best super villain garb. We want our elected officials, voters, and the broader public to know that voting yes on Trump’s FERC appointment means upholding FERC’s evil and destructive ways. Feel free to be as creative as you’d like with your outfit. No masks will be permitted inside senate office buildings, but feel free to bring them for pictures outside. (Don’t worry if you don’t want to dress up-- you can still join us and we will appreciate it.)

We’ll gather as a group at the statue of Columbus, a fellow super villain from history, at 9am directly in front of Union Station. There, we’ll go over the day’s plan before heading off for lobbying as a group.

(Please note that Super Villain Lobby Days is no way whatsoever a scheme hatched by Beyond Extreme Energy to creatively bring attention to the upcoming FERC vote, pressure senators to vote no, and continue building a movement to replace FERC with an agency dedicated to a just transition off fossil fuels.)

Do you want to participate in the Super Villain Lobby Days? (We're talking intention here, not commitment.) *
Would provided housing in DC make your participation more convenient?
If we can do something to make it more possible for you to attend, what would it be? (Ex: provide funds for travel, change the date, chat with you one-on-one about the plans...) *
