PRESENTATION CRITERIA To be considered for inclusion in the symposium, proposals for Breakout Sessions must relate to the 2017 Symposium theme of “What Great Schools Do Differently in a Digital World” and spotlight transformational programs or initiatives that have yielded positive results. Topics of interest include topics such as blended learning, integrated learning, project-based learning, STEM-based instruction, efforts to promote greater student and/or teacher leadership, or other practices that have resulted in improved learning outcomes. Preference will be given to proposals that share success stories that are supported by data.
Breakout sessions will be presented during the November 16-17, 2017 Fall Instructional Symposium. All breakout sessions will be 50 minutes and presenters should prepare for 30-40 session attendees.
PROCESS FOR SUBMITTING A BREAKOUT SESSION PROPOSALTo be considered as a presenter for participation in the 2017 Fall Instructional Symposium, please provide a brief description of your session and complete this form by September 15, 2017.
In addition, all school personnel who will be members of the presentation team must register to attend the conference. If selected a discounted registration fee of $259 will be applied by NCPAPA. (Discount fee limited to teams of 4) Final selection of presentations will be made by September 22, 2017. Upon selection, contact persons will be notified immediately to confirm participation, and their registration will be handled by NCPAPA Program Assistant, Shirley Arrington.
