2018 RBC Bluesfest Road Warriors Volunteer Application
If you’re a natural leader who is wanting to be on the front lines of the festival experience, then the
Gates team is one you should already be on! If you’re up for an additional challenge, we urge you to
join our specialized Road Warriors team!

This elite group of leaders will be responsible for our high-traffic, fast-paced gates. There will be
interactive and detailed training involved to make sure that you have the tools to handle any situation a Road Warrior might find themselves in!

Some of our main challenges at Gates 4 and 5 are:
- Making sure we keep the festival patrons safe by keeping them off the roadways;
- Making sure we direct the flow of traffic so as to keep the roadway as clear as possible in
case of emergencies;
- Making sure cars are safely able to enter and exit the museum’s underground parking garage
by guiding them to and from the entrance with golf carts;
- Making sure museum patrons are still able to access the museum on weeknights and that
there is parking for them in the underground parking lot;
- Making sure that all handicapped patrons have access to parking spaces reserved for them;
- Making sure we get the artists and guests into the backstage area with as little obstruction,
as smoothly and safely as possible.

As a team, we have to be alert, easily visible with reflective vests and in constant communication
with our fellow team members, as well as backstage security, parking lot attendants and festival
patrons. If you’re looking for a close-knit team and an action-packed position, then Road Warriors is
the team for you.
