Are you interested in how society works and your place within it? This course will explore topics such as family life, culture, health and ageing to introduce you to the social sciences and what it can offer us in terms of understanding society.
Each week we will focus on a different topic, considering the complexities involved in understanding and addressing social issues. From the role of culture to the importance of socialisation we will journey through key social science topics to discover how social science impacts on our everyday lives.

Spaces on the taster days and course are very limited, and we might not be able to offer places to everyone. You can apply for places on both taster days as they will cover different topics. We will give priority to those with no previous experience of higher education.
