Between 1970-1990 he carried out several ethno-expeditions, from Lemkivshchyna to Slobozhanshchyna, to create for future generations an archive with unique examples of public history – audio and video recordings of meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora, separated with the borders and scattered around the world.
The archive of Volodymyr Perzhylo – is a portal to our historical past, an opportunity to break through the time and reconstruct the voice of the nation – in girly songs, household conversations and street sounds.
The SOUND iD Project is aimed to unite the efforts of media artists (net art, sound art, video art) and researchers in various humanities to find new ways of presenting Volodymyr Perzhylo's ethnographic heritage through contemporary art.
The Partners: Culture & Creativity Association, Congress of Cultural Activists.
