We are OUT of spaces! It seems like we will do this again...so please email
to be added to our mailing list, and in the meantime, if you fill this link out, we will share your information post-Fair:
Are you a non-profit organization in the Twin Cities seeking to diversify your board of directors? RSVP here to table at the Board Recruitment Fair on August 3, 2015, 5:30-8pm at Hamline University, Saint Paul. We hope to have in attendance a few hundred people of color with various skills and backgrounds who are interested in joining boards.
There is no fee to participate, and if your organization would like to attend, please be prepared to:
1. Have 1 staff person and 1 board member table from 5:30-8pm on August 3rd.
2. Bring materials to hand out, and a copy of your bylaws and financials in case someone would like to see them.
3. Be ready to answer questions about the skills you seek in new board members and any requirements (attendance, committees, financial contribution).
4. Be committed to providing a “board buddy” – an existing board member who acts as an informal mentor – to any new board members.
5. Follow up with people you meet at the event – and use whatever vetting process you want to. We are the introduction point; the rest is in your hands.
Sign up as soon as you can, because this is first-come, first-served – and at some point space may run out. After you RSVP, you will receive confirmation and additional information about location, set-up, timing, parking, etc.
If you are unable to attend, but do have board openings, please fill out this form:
and Board Repair will share your information as much as we can.
People of color who are interested in joining boards are invited to register at:
Because we are volunteer-run, we have limited ability to respond in person to emails, but should you really need to reach someone, please email Jun-Li at
We look forward to seeing you at the Fair!
