A note about Neuro TAP experiences. Neuro TAP is not meant to replace any experiences with University research teams - it is meant to supplement it. This is especially true for graduate students. A grad student should ensure that their PI is fully on board with your interest in extermal experiences. Many times the PI will also have external contacts to better connect your research experience with industry applications. An open communication channel with your PI and current supervisors is essential and is required of University grad students.
Also ensure the time commitment you're considering for external work is very reasonable given your University research commitments. The first obligation for students should be your University work, including academics. An open communication channel with your PI and current supervisors is essential.
