It’s that time of year again, when co-ops across Northern Alberta come together to make big decisions, share ideas, and shape the future of our movement. This year’s event is packed with learning, collaboration, and practical tools you can bring back to your community.
The morning will feature important business decisions, including the presentation and approval of NACHA’s 2026 Budget, a bylaw amendment to welcome external directors, and a member motion from Cameron Avenue Housing Co-op proposing the creation of an internal tribunal to help co-ops manage tough member cases more fairly and consistently.
We’ll also feature three mini learning sessions you won’t want to miss:
- The Community Land Trust – How co-ops can invest in a shared future (guest from Ottawa CLT)
- Human Rights in Everyday Co-op Life – Featuring the Alberta Human Rights Commission
- Strengthening Our Voice – Building stronger government and community partnerships
PLUS! We’ll be unveiling a new offering from Telus designed specifically for housing co-ops — you’ll definitely want to hear what’s coming!
After lunch, stay for our signature education workshop presented by Miller Thomson LLP:
From Good Intentions to Good Governance: Protecting Your Co-op and Its Members
This interactive 3-hour session will help boards and managers handle real-world challenges with fairness, confidence, and professionalism.
