To ensure that your proposed Residential will fit the DofE requirements please complete this form. Please do not spend any money on this opportunity until you have had confirmation that it can be used for your Gold DofE. "Group sharing the same aim and experience" means that the others on the residential, in the team you are part of, are all joining as a group of unknown people, doing the same activities as yourself.  This does not include centre staff or others you are supporting.

Staff: You shouldn’t know any of the staff, unless you can be separated from them.

  • Carers: Carers are allowed, if needed. Participants will need to agree this in advance with their Licensed Organisation.

Once you have submitted this form, we will confirm suitability usually within a week. Please do not book and pay until you have approval which will include a copy of this form to upload to eDofE.

This form is used to collect information about the named person's residential, this is to be used by the County DofE Team only.  

As part of this form we collect personal data about you, this detail is required so that we can assess the suitability of your residential and approve it as suitable as part of your Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award. We may share your personal data in this form with The Scout Association or DofE Award HQs.  

We take your personal data privacy seriously. The data you provide to us is securely stored (based on local arrangements) and will be kept until your Gold Award is completed or you reach 25 years old, for the purpose of any queries that arise before being securely destroyed.
