I understand that the following are requirements for participation in this program and will support my colleague as work toward their achievement:
Responsibilities of Mentors in the Pilot Program
During the pilot year, mentors are expected to:
Engage in three full and two half days of professional learning centered around leadership through the PSEL-aligned School Leader Paradigm (provided by NJPSA/FEA)
Lead monthly peer group meetings with first-year supervisor mentees
Provide one-on-one mentoring with your assigned first-year supervisor mentee
Program and organizational support as needed including progress meetings with program director and formative/summative assessment processes
Requirements of the Pilot Program Participation
During the pilot year, the mentor will:
Mentor a first-year supervisor mentees employed in a New Jersey public school;
Secure the support of central administration, more specifically, their direct report and/or the district superintendent with special attention given to release time for in person commitments;
Maintain a log of significant events and activities; and
Share learning and data points with the program evaluator.
