Early Housing Orientation Interest Form
Early Housing Orientation Date : August 4, 2025 – August 8, 2025

This program is meant to introduce international and out-of-state students to the Charlotte housing market and to provide support services to help them get settled prior to the start of the academic year. Programming will include:

  • Housing tours of local apartment complexes
  • Information on public transportation options, grocery shopping, and more
  • Guidance for international students on opening a bank account, acquiring a cell phone
  • A presentation form Student Legal Services on landlord & tenant rights and responsibilities; advice on leases and best practices for move-in
  • Advice on optimizing the graduate student experience
  • Community-building events

Housing: Program participants will be housed in an on-campus dormitory. All participants must check out by August 8. Please note: there is no option to extend your stay.

Meals:  A light group breakfast will be provided in the Center for Graduate Life & Learning each morning. Lunch each day, and dinner on August 4 and 5 will be provided in the university dining hall, Social 704. Dinner on August 6 and August 7 will be on your own. 

Program Cost: $120

This fee includes overnight accommodations and the meals described above. It will be added to your student account upon checkout.
