The 2026 Tenant & Housing Justice Giving Project will make grants to support community organizing work that builds collective power among renters, homeless folks, unhoused folks, and/or homeowners (bank tenants) to create dignified, affordable, safe, and healthy homes for all.
This grant cycle seeks to support organizations working to undo and/or create alternative solutions to exploitative housing systems which were built and are sustained by capitalism, colonialism, classism, racism, xenophobia, and ableism.
As a member of the Tenant & Housing Justice Giving Project, you'll learn about and have a concrete impact on a wide variety of tenant and housing justice issues while developing your own leadership, building community, gaining political analysis, and learning new skills in fundraising and grantmaking.This project run from January-July 2026 and will meet in person in
Seattle on Wednesday evenings (approximately 5:45-9pm PT) along with a
few weekend dates (Sat/Sun). Meals and snacks will be provided at
meetings. There will be also be some meetings via Zoom instead of
in-person to accommodate guest speakers from outside the Seattle area.
A Giving Project is a significant commitment of time and energy.
