Dear Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to the new school year.  Please read this letter thoroughly as it contains information you will need during the school year.

School bus routes can be found on the district web site at www.ccsdre1.org.  On the main page, under "Quick Links" select "Bus Schedule." You can also contact the Transportation Department at 303-567-3865 or 303-746-8139 as well as your child's school.

Please always be at the bus stop at least FIVE MINUTES early morning and afternoon.  The bus cannot wait for students who are late.  Please do not chase after a bus, as this is a serious safety concern.  Buses will not stop until the next scheduled bus stop.  

If you are going to be late to pick up your student from the bus stop, please call the Transportation Department at 303-567-3865 so that we can inform the bus driver and make alternative plans.

Below is the  permission to ride form.  If we do not have a signed permission slip letting your child walk home ALONE from the bus stop, we will not be able to let your child off unless a parent or guardian is present.  If someone other than the parent or guardian is going to be getting your child from the bus stop please send a signed note for the bus driver.  WE NEED A SIGNED PERMISSION SLIP EACH YEAR.

If your child needs to ride a different bus or get off at different stop, you will need to call your school or the Transportation Department.  We will not be able to let students get on different buses or off at different stops without a signed note or phone call.

Our school bus surveillance cameras are on every bus, including activity buses.  They are operational at all times.  Students and parents are financially responsible for any damages done to the bus.

Please read the attached SCHOOL BUS RULES and go over them with your child or children.

Queridos Padres de Familia y Acudientes:

Bienvenidos al nuevo año escolar. Lea esta carta detenidamente ya que contiene información que necesitará durante el año escolar.

Las rutas de los autobuses escolares se pueden encontrar en el sitio web del distrito en: www.ccsdre1.org. En la página principal, en "Primeros Enlaces", seleccione: "Horario de autobuses". También puede comunicarse con el Departamento de Transporte al 303-567-3865 o 303-746-8139, así como con la escuela de su hijo/a.

Si su hijo/a,  necesita viajar en un autobús diferente o bajarse en una parada de bus diferente, deberá llamar a su escuela o al Departamento de Transporte. No podemos permitir que los estudiantes suban a diferentes autobuses o se bajen en diferentes paradas sin una nota firmada o una llamada telefónica.

Todos los autobuses tienen cámaras de vigilancia,  incluidos los autobuses de actividades. Estan funcionando durante todo el tiempo, por lo tanto los/as  estudiantes y padres de familia, son responsables financieramente de cualquier daño causado al autobús.

The above-named student(s) has/have my permission to ride the school bus to and from school.  I have access to a copy of the Bus Rules, have read them, and will do my part to enforce them.  I understand the privilege of riding the school bus may be suspended and/or revoked for failure to comply with these rules.  Please Note:  The District has installed video recording equipment on all school buses to monitor student behavior and will be recording all bus routes during the school year.  Students and parents are financially responsible for any damage done to the bus or vehicle.  Students found to be in violation of the district's bus rules will be notified and disciplinary action will be initiated under the Board adopted Code of Conduct, discipline and the Bus Rules.

Tengo acceso a una copia del reglamento del Autobús, las he leído y haré mi parte para hacerlas cumplir.
