Translators - Read and Acknowledge
The use of a translator (human or computerized) to submit a graded assignment is not allowed in this course amd is considered cheating. The goal in this course is not perfection, so you will want to use opportunities to speak and write as a chance to show where you are and how you are progessing in the learning process.

Using a translator will rob you of that opportunity. You won't know where you are struggling and how to focus your learning path to overcome your gaps. If you don't go through the learning process of making mistakes naturally, you will never learn. Mistakes are natural and necessary in the learning process, so it's okay to make them. Just keep your structures simple and don't try to match your level of Spanish to your level of English. You just aren't there.

When you use a translator, you will unknowlingling be using structures that we haven't learned yet, and the vocabulary doesn't usually align from language to language. It is also very obvious to someone who speaks the language.

If you choose to use a translator to complete your work, I will know. Since it's considered cheating, this is how the process will go:

First Violation
  • I will arrance a meeting with you via Zoom about your submission. I will ask you specific questions about your submission.
  • If I conclude that you did use a translator, you will be given a zero on the assignment
Second Violation
  • A failing grade in the course
  • A Student Conduct Report will be filed in your name
