Deacon Camp 2018 Application: Due July 15th (open until filled)
Deacon Camp: An Insider's Guide to Wake Forest

Deacon Camp is a three and a half day introduction to the compelling story of Wake Forest – past, present, and future. Go where few of your classmates will go, including Wake Forest historical sites, Demon Deacon athletic venues, and even the top of Wait Chapel! Explore your new home city of Winston-Salem; meet many of our Wake Forest leaders and coaches including: Head Football Coach Dave Clawson and Head Basketball Coach Danny Manning. The incoming students of Deacon Camp will begin to discover their new home and make their mark at Wake Forest.

Deacon Camp is designed and facilitated by student leaders and Pro Humanitate Institute staff. Deacon Campers will be placed in groups of eight with two upper-class student mentors.

Deacon Camp is an opportunity to jump-start your new college experience by fully integrating into the community, culture, and traditions of Wake Forest. Throughout Deacon Camp you will discover the values and experiences that make Wake Forest so special. You will make new friends as well as valuable connections as you begin to write your own unique chapter in the grand Wake Forest story.

“Deacon Camp was the perfect start to my Wake Forest experience. It helped me develop a strong sense of pride for my school and gave me the opportunity to create meaningful relationships with my fellow classmates and student leaders.”
-Stephen Bechtel, Class of 2019
