The Opiate Epidemic: What You Need to Know & How Can You Help?
Hosted by Be Well Rappahannock
Opioid addiction has been declared an epidemic and a national emergency. In 2016, there were 79 deaths due to opiate use in our area. 8% of high school students and 7% of middle school students report taking prescription drugs not prescribed to them. It is imperative that we do a better job of identifying and treating opiate addiction.
This brief training will give you an introduction to opiate addiction, address treatment approaches, and suggest what you can do to help.
