Students can apply for Opportunity Music Project at any time this year, however all applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with an August 15th deadline for students wishing to enroll for the academic year that begins in September.
Upon receiving your completed application, you will be contacted to arrange an interview. All interviews take place at the Opportunity Music Project teaching studio, located at 4 West 43rd Street.

Supporting documents: (1) letter of recommendation, and (2) a short essay about music and what it means to the applicant (this may be written by the parent if the student applicant is younger than eight years old). Please also include a copy of your child’s most recent report card. The letter of recommendation should be written by someone who knows your child well, who is not a family member, such as a classroom reacher, music teacher, or mentor. The letter should include information about the student that pertains to why they would be a good candidate for Opportunity Music Project.
