$500 WRITER OR BOOK MARKETING GRANT to help cover marketing costs, e.g. professional headshot of writer, photographs of book cover/s, website design/maintenance/hosting, advertisement, conference or book fair fees, publicity, podcast, book trailer or video production.
APPLICATION FORM (Please Print Clearly/Indicate Which Grant OR BOTH)
1. Eligibility: Applicant must be a Member of the South Florida Writers Association at the time of drawing/for the period between July 1, 2025 until June 30, 2026.
2. For the Book Publishing Grant: Applicant must submit this application form with a brief description of the book project planned with the target date of publication (within 1 year of rec
eiving the assistance). Printed books, e-books, chapbooks, audio books of all genres are acceptable.3. For the Writer or Book Marketing Grant: Applicant must submit this application form with a brief description of the marketing activity or activities that the grant will be used for,
e. g. professional headshot of writer,
photographs of book cover/s, website design/maintenance/hosting, advertisement,
conference or book fair fees, publicity, podcast, book trailer or video
production. Open to freelance writers, journalists, bloggers, authors,
playwrights, etc. 4. There will be two (2) drawings of the two (2) Cash Grants ($500 for book publishing category and $500 for marketing category per drawing): Once at the December 2025 meeting and another at the June 2026 meeting. That means $1,000 total cash prizes per drawing.
5. Previous winners of the grants (June 2022 up to June 2025)) will not be eligible, in order to provide opportunity for other members.
