TexTESOL V is seeking nominations to recognize TESOL educators in the following areas: Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and Higher Ed/Adult Ed. The nominees will be honored at the TexTESOL V Regional Conference. Application Deadline: April 30, 2025

Who is Eligible?
Any English language teacher within the TexTESOL V region who is not a previous recipient of this award and is not a current member of the TexTESOL V executive board. Nominees are not required to be current members of TexTESOL V.
TexTESOL V serves six K-12 Texas public school regions (9, 10, 11, 14, 16, and 17) comprising of 376 school districts, as well as numerous colleges and universities in the following 91 Texas counties:

One teacher from Elementary Education, one teacher from Secondary Education, and one teacher from Higher Ed/Adult Ed. will receive a free registration to the TexTESOL V regional conference where they will be recognized as the TexTESOL V teachers of the year.

Candidates must be an ESL teacher, who: instructs emergent bilingual students, or mulitlingual students, is committed to excellence in teaching, professional growth, and collaboration with fellow educators; is innovative, enthusiastic, creative, inspiring, and caring. In the following questions, include all contributions to the TESOL field and/ or activities, interests or experiences that enhance the nominee's effectiveness or knowledge. Including as much specific information as possible increases the likelihood that the nominee will be selected as a finalist for the award.
