EMT - This 172-hour program is designed to prepare students to function in the field as pre-hospital care providers. Successful completion allows the student to sit for State of Massachusetts and National Registry of EMT’s Emergency Medical Technician certification exams. It is an entry level program for those who wish to seek a career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) up to the paramedic level.
Paramedic - The Paramedic is a health care professional that cares for those injured or suddenly taken ill in the pre-hospital setting. The Paramedic Program is an eighteen month program that includes classroom, in hospital clinical rotations and field internships. The program prepares the student to practice in the field and to be eligible for the National Registry of EMT’s Paramedic certification exam. Please note that prior to applying for the Paramedic Program Certificate, students must have achieved their Basic EMT certification.
