BAPS JB webinar - 04/05/2021
Sign up to our FREE webinar on burnout by Tim Vantilborgh on 04/05/2021 from 6pm to 7pm!
"Burnout appears to be prevalent in many work settings and appears to be increasingly affecting a large number of employees. It consists of three key dimensions, including an overwhelming sense of exhaustion, feeling a lack of personal accomplishment, and a cynical and detached attitude towards the job. Certain occupational groups, such as healthcare workers and PhD students have been described as high-risk groups to develop burnout symptoms. In this presentation, I will briefly explain what burnout is and which factors increase the risk of burnout. In particular, I will zoom in on burnout in the context of academia. Next, I will discuss how burnout can be prevented, linking these factors to more recent dynamic system models on burnout."
