Dance Around the World is designed to showcase the many cultures our Fort Hunt community represents. Families can represent their own culture, or a culture they have a connection with, by having a table display. Maybe you are a military family that has spent time in Japan, or you have always felt a special connection to France... your connection to the country does not matter, the more countries represented the better.
The table display could include food for people to sample, special items, clothing, etc. to help share what makes the culture incredibly special. Students and families will receive passports that will be stamped as they "dance around the world" from display to display learning about the different cultures.
This is definitely a group event! We will connect families who are interested in representing the same cultures to support each other so no one gets overwhelmed.
The event will be held March 15th, from 6-8 pm in the school cafeteria/gym.
Below is the interest form. We have it split out by continent. If you are interested in hosting a table display, or any other showcase of your family's culture or country of choice, please fill out and submit NO LATER THAN March 2nd.
