SMUSH Gallery's Summer 2018 Subsidized Residency Program Application
SMUSH Gallery is now accepting applications to our Summer 2018 Subsidized Residency Program! This program offers artists of all disciplines space for studio work, rehearsal, and/or performance in our beautiful storefront artspace. Artists receive up to 80 hours/week in select weeks throughout June, July, and August, plus use of gallery equipment and publicity support. Non-profit and independent artists and organizations are especially encouraged to apply.

Residencies are available the weeks of June 18, June 25, July 15, July 22, July 30, August 6, and August 13.
- Applications for June dates are due at noon on Monday, June 4, 2018. Decisions will be announced Thursday, June 7, 2018.
- Applications for July and August dates are due at noon on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Decisions will be announced Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

YOUR RESIDENCY. Outline how you plan to use your residency in 200 words or less. Briefly describe your residency project(s), materials/supplies/equipment you plan to bring or use, the significance of a residency at this point in your practice or project, and any open questions you plan to carry into your residency. *
PUBLIC EVENTS. If you plan to host a public event (ticketed performance, gallery opening, etc.), briefly outline your event plan. *
WORK SAMPLES. Include 3-5 links that represent your strongest and/or favorite work and a brief description of how each piece illuminates your art practice or project. For works longer than 5 minutes, please indicate cue times. Visual artists may include up to 10 links. *
DATES. Check all the weeks for which you would like to be considered. (Applications for June dates are due at noon on Monday, June 4, 2018. Applications for July and August dates are due at noon on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.) *
