Trenton Rowing and Paddling Club - Located in Kiwanis Riverside Park
80 Ontario Street, Trenton, ON, K8V 1T8
The race begins on the Trent River at the Kiwanis Riverside Park. The crew will row towards the Bay of Quite where you will make a mad dash through the Bay to the sheltered waters of the Trent Canal. Maintaining your speed and grace, the crew will glide their way to the Brighton Road Swing Bridge, make a quick turn about and battle your way back to the start of the race. The Race Organizers will be waiting with stop watches, horns, loud cheering and a helping hand! The total distance is 21 kilometers.
Congratulatory libation will commence at the Tomasso’s Italian Grill along with the presentation of the winners! Each participant will receive one beverage of choice with their registration to toast our shared achievements (Lunch entrée is not included in fee).
Itinerary
Rigging at 8:00 am - Launch at 9:45 am - Race Horn at 10:00 am Sharp
The tour organizers will supply boats, oars, life-jackets, water in jugs, maps of the route, waivers for signature, a first-aid kit and a sense of accomplishment.
The participants will bring sunscreen, a hat, a reusable water bottle, a fanny-pack life jacket (if you prefer your own), a rain jacket (if you bring it, it won’t rain, if you don’t, you'll regret it), and a sense of adventure!
There is a washroom at launch/landing site. Coffee will be served to those still half asleep.
Registration
The tour fee is $100 per person or $400 per full (5 person) crew ($80 per crew member). Please note, each participant must register separately. Please email transfer your fee to admin@rjcpc.ca. Please note, if
you are NOT a member of a club that is a member of OAR or you are NOT an
independent member of OAR, there will be an additional fee of $90.
Please include your shirt size as either S, M, L, XL
