This is CERT training for the City of Albany, CALIFORNIA (Alameda County, next to Berkeley) — not Albany, New York. Classes are in person and you must be able to attend locally.

Albany CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training prepares you to help your household, your neighbours and your block in a disaster.

FALL 2026 — eight Thursday evenings, 6:00–9:00 PM
September 10, 17, 24 · October 1, 8, 15, 22 (no class October 29)
November 5 — in-person skills day and final exam

Sessions 1–7 at the Albany Community Center, 1249 Marin Ave, Albany, CA 94706.
The skills day is at the Albany Fire Department.
Offered in English this fall.

The training is free. Albany residents get priority; non-residents are waitlisted until September 3.
