As part of our licensed child care program, we are required to collect and share certain personal information about your child with the Government of Alberta. This information is crucial for the management of child care services and is protected under the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA). The information shared helps to support the funding and proper operation of child care programs, ensuring that we meet the requirements outlined in the Early Learning and Child Care Act and related grant agreements.

In accordance with this legislation, we are asking for your consent to share the necessary personal information about your child with the Government of Alberta. If consent is not provided, we will not be able to receive funding for your child’s enrollment in this child care program, and our program may become non-compliant with its licensing and/or grant agreement.

What This Means for You:

The information shared with the Government of Alberta will be used for the management of child care services, and the child care program will remain compliant with relevant laws and grant agreements.
Your child’s registration and the creation of a Child Care Program Number (CCPN) will require us to share specific information with the government, as mandated by the Early Learning and Child Care Act (2022) and relevant funding agreements.

The Government of Alberta requires licensed child care providers to maintain and share records related to child care services in accordance with privacy legislation, including the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA).

CONSENT AGREEMENT

By signing below, I consent to LES CAUSERIES sharing personal information about my child with the Government of Alberta, as required by law, for the purposes of managing child care services and maintaining compliance with the Early Learning and Child Care Act and relevant grant agreements.

I understand that without my consent, LES CAUSERIES will be unable to receive funding for my child’s enrollment, and the program may not be compliant with its licensing and/or grant agreement.
