Over the Summer Holidays Infinity Boat Club will be holding three learn2row camps, giving kids the opportunity to try rowing – for free.
Each course is 4 days long, Monday to Thursday and you can either come 10am-11.30am, 10am-1pm, or 10am-3.30pm. You don't have to attend all four days, but you will make faster progress if you do!
Everything at Infinity Boat Club is completely cost free to the participant - our priority is bringing rowing to as many people as possible.
To support this, we will be providing bus transport around the area to and from the learn to row courses.
You have the option to either get the bus to the club, or you can head directly to the club for the start time – Bus locations for pick up are below, please select whether your child will be getting provided transport or meeting us at Infinity Boat Club.
Bus pick-up is 9:30am at Mandale Car Park (near Acklam Grange), 9:35am at Littleboy Park (near Thornaby), 9:45am at Sainsbury's (near Grangefield) and 9:55am at Thompson Street Car Park (near North Shore). Bus drop off will be in the reverse direction between 3:30 and 4pm.

The short form below is for care givers to sign ensuring we have all essential information about those participating in the learn to row courses.

FAQ's
How old do I have to be to do a Learn2Row?
The Learn2Rows are for those in Years 6 to 10, from age 11 to 15.
What do I have to bring?
Just yourself, and a water bottle if you have one! We provide all the equipment.
Will I need a special kit to wear?
No, Just wear leggings, shorts and a t-shirt or your school PE kit. We also have lots of kit you can use if you need any.
I can’t swim, will I be OK?
Yes. If you can’t swim, or aren’t a confident swimmer you’ll wear a life jacket when you’re in the boat. We run ‘swimming confidence’ lessons on a Friday after school just for Infinity Boat Club rowers if you need some time in the pool. These lessons are also free and we can provide swim suits, swim shorts, swim hats and goggles.
Isn’t rowing expensive?
Normally, yes. However, we are a charity and have funding so that everything we do is FREE. The Learn2Row is free, there are no membership fees, training sessions are free and we even provide racing kit free of charge (the only thing we ask is that you have a TS postcode and don't attend a fee paying school)
