2019-2020 Fleetwood Elementary Room Parent Form
IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE CHILDREN YOU WISH TO BE A ROOM PARENT FOR YOU MUST FILL OUT AND SUBMIT THIS FORM FOR EACH CHILD SEPARATELY.
We’re looking for volunteers, male & female, to be Room Parents!
Room Parents play an important role at Fleetwood by providing support and assistance to the teachers, students, families and the PTO.
If you are interested in volunteering, here’s what you can expect:
Head Room Parent responsibilities include:
organizing classroom parties, coordinating the holiday and end of year classroom gifts, assisting with special teacher appreciation projects and attending PTO meetings in order to convey important information back to the classroom teacher and families. You are the first line of communication between the PTO, your teacher and the other parents in the classroom.
Assistant Room Parent responsibilities:
helping to organize classroom parties, assisting Head Room parent/teacher when needed, assisting with special teacher appreciation projects and attending PTO meetings in the Head Room Parent’s absence. Assistant Room Parents will take turns attending the classroom parties to allow more parents an opportunity to participate.
Can’t attend the parties, but would still like to contribute?
Sign up as a Contributing Room Parent.
The Contributing Room Parent may be called upon at different times throughout the year to provide items for the classroom parties and special projects without attending the parties.
The PTO Board will review/approve those nominated and prefer rotations of the role per year to allow for all parents to partake.
