Kids Greening Taupō Student Leadership Team Application Form
"Kids Greening Taupō is an environmental education programme, connecting kids to hands on restoration projects. Our aim is to green our town! The student leadership programme looks to connect and grow environmental knowledge and skills, especially in the area of leadership.

Any young person from Taupō years 6 to 13 (or equivalent age) can apply for one of the 10 student leadership positions available for 2019. Applications close 1st March 2019 with interviews happening between 4th-8th March 2019. We know that interviews can be quite scary, so if you are worried about this at all please contact us (thea@greeningtaupo.org.nz) and we can provide you with some peer support! Feel free to bring a parent/guardian to the interview for support as long as you do the talking :)

Our first Student Leadership Team event is scheduled for 19th March (Time TBC approx. 6:30-8pm)

The first three Student Leadership Team meetings are scheduled for:

5-7pm Tuesday 26th March 2019
5-7pm Tuesday 2nd April 2019
5-7pm Tuesday 9th April 2019

After these three initial meetings, our Student Leadership Team will meet monthly (dates to be decided together).


This Application form (Section 4) requires a written/video component:

These submissions can be in any form you like. For example: sing a song, write an essay, a short movie, a poem, a dance... in any form you would like as long as you answer "Why is Kids Greening Taupō important to you and what you could offer the programme?"

Section 5 requires a referee contact (verbal reference over the phone). Please ask a teacher/principle or someone who knows you well from extra-curricular activities to be your referee (ask their permission to share their contact email and phone number first)
