◆要旨：ボツワナ共和国の中部カラハリ地区で遊動生活をしていたカラハリ狩猟採集民が、伝統的な生業で用いていた道具の実物を展示します。それぞれの道具の範疇・分類、機能、素材と制作技能などを、現地で記録した写真資料や、言語学的な調査資料を使いながら解説します。参加者は、展示する道具に直接触れて、その大きさ・形状・重量・触感・構造などを確かめながら、注意深く観察する経験をします。参加者の各々が物質文化を見る際の自前の問題意識をもてるようになることが期待されます。
