Take a deep dive into voter suppression tactics: all are welcome to this free showing of the documentary “Rigged—The Voter Suppression Playbook."

Several states, including Missouri, have undertaken measures that significantly impact voter participation. “Rigged, ” filmed during the 2016 election and narrated by actor and activist Jeffrey Wright, lays out the strategies used to suppress voter turnout. The screening will be followed by a discussion of the film along with a Q&A led by Denise Lieberman, project director of Power and Democracy for the Advancement Project. She will suggest ways to get involved as we approach the 2020 presidential election.

This screening is sponsored by Social Justice in Action at Eliot Unitarian Chapel, Women's Voices Raised For Social Justice, Metropolitan Congregations United, West County Community Action Network - WE CAN, Peace United Church of Christ, and Kirkwood United Church of Christ.

There is no charge for the event, but registration is required, as seating is limited. Let us know you're coming!
