Student Handbook: Act 104 of 1983 of the State of Arkansas requires that all parents or guardians of students in a school district receive a copy (print/digital) of the school's discipline policies. Included in our handbook are the policies that govern student behavior in WES. Please read the handbook carefully, and if you have any questions concerning these guidelines, call your student's principal.

State law also requires that both you and your child sign and date this notification to verify that you have received a copy (print/digital). This acknowledgment will be kept on file in the school office for the current year.

Parent/Student iPad Use Agreement: I have been made aware that the iPad Use Agreement is available online, and I agree to read it carefully and discuss with my child. We agree to abide by the Brunson Elementary Technology Handbook. iPad Handbook *
Teamwork Compact: I have received a copy of the Teamwork Compact, and I take responsibility for my child *
Traffic Control: My signature shows that I have heard the traffic control guidelines. *
Field Trips: I give permission for my child to take usual school trips, such as music events, class trips, etc. (without being notified every time) *
Text books: My child and I assume responsibility for textbooks issued by the school, and we understand that we must return them in good condition or pay                                           for unusual damage.     *
Internet Policy: My child has permission to use the internet at school and will follow internet  policy guidelines for appropriate use. WSD Internet Safety and Acceptable Use Policy *
Library Books: My child may check out a book from the Library and is responsible for paying for it should it be damaged or lost. *
Student Media Consent & Release Form
Throughout the school year, students may be highlighted in efforts to promote WSD
activities and achievements. For example, students may be featured in materials to train teachers and/or increase public awareness of our schools through newspapers, radio, TV, the web, DVDs, displays, brochures, and other types of media.

I, as the parent or guardian of the student listed below, hereby give WSD and its employees, representatives, and authorized media organizations permission to print, photograph, and record my child for use in audio, video, film, or any other electronic, digital and printed media.

This is with the understanding that neither WSD nor its representatives will reproduce said photograph, interview, or likeness for any commercial value or receive monetary gain for use of any reproduction/broadcast of said photograph or likeness. I am also fully aware that I will not receive monetary compensation for my child’s participation.

I further release and relieve, WSD its Board of Trustees, employees, and other representatives from any liabilities, known or unknown, arising out of the use of this material.

I certify that I have read the Media Consent and Release Liability statement and fully understand its terms and conditions.

Please understand that failure to return this release form within ten (10) school days from the date of the distribution will constitute approval of the above requests. *
