Expressions Dance: TAP Team Training Course
Congratulations on joining our Teacher Assistant Program! This is a great opportunity for our dancers to learn and grow as future dance educators. Please read over this information so you know what is expected of you as a Teacher Assistant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ALL ASSISTANT TEACHERS:
  • You are responsible for recording your classroom time on the Shiftr app that is loaded onto every studio iPad. You will be given a login when you start as a Teacher Assistant.
  • Always adhere to the required uniform and dress code for Teacher Assistants.
  • You must find a substitute if you are unable to make it to your assigned class(es).
  • You will arrive 10 minutes prior to first class starting.
We recommend you start a Teacher Assistant journal to record ideas, important tips, and questions! A class with a well-trained assistant always runs smoother. The most important part about being a good assistant is to work together with the teacher. Working as a team makes or breaks the class’s chemistry.
