Tutor Fees Subsidy Fund Application

This Fund is to assist with extra tuition, out of school hours, and is for students studying in core subjects across all year levels.

Please read the Eligibility & Criteria sections below.

Applicants apply once a year, for up to $650 per Term (to a maximum of $2,600 per calendar year).

Eligibility

Your child needs to be a registered member of Deaf Children NZ, it's free to join, go to the Join DCNZ page on our website.

Criteria

Students of school age (Y1 to Y13)

Tutoring to be in a core curriculum subject (can be more than one subject):
- Year 1 to Year 10 - Literacy/ English or Maths
- Year 11 to Year 13 - English, Maths, or Science

Tutor to be recognised as qualified tutors (eg through a Professional Association, Organisation or School)

Tutor must agree to complete a Tutor Progress Report and Parent must complete a Reimbursement Form at the end of each Term. The Report and Rebimbursement Form must be received by Deaf Children NZ no later than 15 days after the last tutoring session. Parents will be only be reimbursed for the classes attended.
