Community Farmer Training Sign-Up
Mahalo for your interest in joining our 2023 Beginner Farmer Training Hui! We are so grateful for your interest in growing food, reconnecting with the land and spirit of supporting your local community. Your participation makes it that much more rich for everyone involved. 

When applicable, please select your first choices in categories listed below and we will do our best to focus our curriculum on the most requested subject matters for the program. 

Educational Workshops & Hands-On Training for 2023 Beginner Farmer Training will be hosted every other Saturday (10am-12pm) mostly at the HIP Agriculture Farm (Starseed Ranch), but may include occasional visits to other farms around North Kohala. This program will run from early February to late October. 

We strongly encourage all participants to attend all Saturday workshops throughout the year, in order to get the most enriching and informative experience. Those that attend the entire 10-month program will receive a Certificate of Course Completion, as well as opportunity to have a private farmer consultation on their land, fruit tree/plant starts and additional benefits.

NOTE: If you are interested only in volunteering, that's great too! Please let us know your plans, below. Volunteer days will be offered 1x/week - every Thursday, 8:30am-12:30pm on the HIP Ag farm beginning in February, 2023. Projects will focus on Agroforestry systems and Market Gardening. Volunteers are encouraged to come weekly.
