Tuition Worksheet || Dida Academy 2019-2020
Please complete this form only if you are applying for need-based financial aid for Dida Academy.

Dida Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is primarily supported through the tuition paid by its families. In determining our tuition process, we’ve focused on a few important ideas: trust, access, and responsibility. The culture of Dida Academy is rooted in trust. We are committed to developing relationships of trust with students, among the facilitators, and certainly with our families.

Dida Academy seeks to be available to people based on right fit, not income level, so we offer tuition fees on a sliding scale. By trusting families to be generous and reasonable we increase our accessibility.

As we grow, we try to balance accessibility with sustainability. We are always looking at our tuition process to make sure we’re being responsible to our current families and to the future health of the organization.

Our ability to offer financial aid is increased by donations from various individuals and organizations. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to Dida Academy, you can send us a check (online donations coming soon). We hope that our families whose income exceeds the range for the maximum recommended tuition also support the Academy through tax-deductible donations. Please consider donating to increase our accessibility.

For the 2019-2020 school year, the minimum tuition recommendation is 30% and the maximum is 100%.

Full Tuition:
$5,200 per day

2 days/week = $10,400
3 days/week = $15,600
4 days/week = $20,800
5 days/week = $26,000

At the end of the admissions application, you’ll have the option to mark that you’re paying the full tuition rate, or that you want to access the sliding scale rates.

Our Executive Director will review the tuition offer. We’ll either accept it, or make a counter offer within 5 calendar days.

This form helps you work with Dida’s sliding scale to calculate a recommended tuition rate.

The process works like this:
(1) You use the worksheet to discover your recommended rate on our sliding scale.
(2) You propose a tuition rate that is realistic for you to be able to pay.
(3) Dida’s Executive Director reviews your proposal to determine if the organization has openings available at that level of payment.
(4) If your proposal is accepted, then within 5 days, you must complete an enrollment agreement and pay your enrollment deposit to reserve your place at the agreed upon tuition level.
(5) If your proposal was NOT accepted, you can make another proposal to qualify for openings at a higher payment level.

Total Family Income Recommended Tuition

Trust is an essential element of the Dida culture. Instead of vetting each family's finances, we ask that you make a tuition offer from your personal knowledge of what you can afford. Depending on openings available at specific payment levels, we may not be able to accept your proposal. We are currently only considering offers between 30% and 100%. Please be as generous you can. The sliding scale is only made possible by everyone contributing whatever they can make work.
