The UNEP / SETAC Life Cycle Initiative is currently conducting a strategic review, which conclusions will also be of valuable interest in the perspective of defining the Initiative’s next phase 4 (2017-2020).

Impact Indicators and LCA Data: Development, endorsement and global stewardship for LCA impact assessment indicators (characterization factors) and LCA database management approaches

LCA Tools: Development of relevant tools based on Life Cycle Thinking (LCT) with the aim of supporting decision-making by governments and companies

Promoting LCT in Policy: Advocacy for the integration of Life Cycle Thinking within national and international policies and agreements (including e.g. links between LCT and the Sustainable Development Goals)

LCA Networks: Support the establishment and capacity development of LCA Networks with the aim of spreading life cycle thinking in developing countries and emerging economies
