is an education and advocacy platform. It represents membership's collective agreement on how to move LWVUS' mission forward over the next two years. The platform presented at the LWVUS Convention is the result of a national
process.
consists of three parts: (1) action to implement League Principles; (2) study or concurrence on a governmental issue to develop new Positions or to update existing Positions; and (3) action on government issues.
To engage in program planning, it's helpful first to review the LWVUS publication
Impact on Issues. Here you'll find LWV principles and existing public policy positions that form the foundation for League action.
The current LWVUS Program for 2022-24 is entitled the
Campaign for Making Democracy Work®. Under its umbrella are 5 policy pillars: Voting Rights, Improving Elections, Redistricting, Money in Politics, and Electoral College. Members' input through the national program planning process will determine whether the
Campaign for Making Democracy Work is readopted or modified for 2024-26.
