VirtualSC Course Request/Approval
Students interested in taking a course must complete the following steps directly with Virtual SC:
VIRTUALSC REGISTRATION WORKFLOW
Student creates a student account, or logs into a previously created account in the New VirtualSC Dashboard.
Student requests the desired courses in the VirtualSC Dashboard during the specified dates located on the VirtualSC website.
School Counselor approves and/or denies the course requests.
Note: A student cannot claim a seat in a course and/or a place on the waitlist until the Counselor approval has been processed in the Dashboard.
Student joins the placement queue and is scheduled into the seat of a course based on the date/time of request and the date/time of counselor approval. Priority is given to students in grades 11 and 12 with course requests approved during priority registration week.
Note: Students will be scheduled into courses daily, based on the submission of counselor approval.
Note: Counselor approval does not imply that the student is already in the course or is guaranteed a seat in a course.
Waitlists will be automatically enabled for students requesting courses that have more requests than there are seats available.
Students will receive an emailed notification if they have been added to a waitlist following Counselor approval.
Students will receive an emailed notification if they have been moved off the waitlist into a course section.
Students may also review their course request status on their Main Dashboard page.
