Alliance for People of Color: Volunteer Form

The Alliance would not exist without the dedication of our volunteers. Our members volunteer as Alliance Liaisons, PMH-C Coaches, or creating content for our media outlets like social media, blogs, etc. 

Our need for volunteers is based on the evolving needs of our programs, so available openings are always changing. Please review our volunteer opportunities and complete our form if any of these roles align with your volunteer goals. 

Alliance Liaison

The Alliance Liaison is an integral volunteer position on the local level within PSI state chapters in the US. The Alliance Liaison is responsible for the following: 

  • Attending all scheduled chapter board meetings
  • Attending all scheduled Alliance Advisory Council Meetings
  • Leading chapter efforts to increase Alliance and BIPOC representation within the chapter
  • US-based only

PMH-C Coach

Our PMH-C Coaches have a heart for helping other members prepare for the PMH-C Exam.

  • Must be an active Alliance member
  • Hold a PMH-C certification
  • Commit to one year of coaching
  • Provide quarterly availability for coaching sessions
  • Participate in retrospective conversations to help us continuously improve the coaching program
MMH Forum en español

Help us deliver a smooth and engaging virtual Forum experience by volunteering with our virtual Maternal Mental Health Forum in May. 

  • Must be a current Alliance member
  • Must speak Spanish
  • Commit to 2-3 months of volunteering starting before the forum in May and ending shortly after the event
  • Commit to approximately 5-10 hours per week 

Learn more about our volunteer opportunities below:

  1. Registration & Enrollment support: This role monitor forms, answer common questions, and assist with distributing digital materials and participation certificates.
  2. Virtual Logistics Assistant: Provide technical assistance during our live workshops by managing virtual platforms like Zoom and StreamYard, keeping track of workshop times, and day of coordination with workshop speakers and technology.
  3. Documentation Volunteer: Contribute to future content about the forum by documenting learning objectives/key takeaways from workshops, attendee comments, and questions. 
  4. Evaluation and Feedback Volunteer: This role involves assisting with the design, distribution, and analysis of satisfaction and feedback surveys from attendees, speakers, and partners, providing essential input for future events.
