Birds of Slay August 2026 Signups

It's time to see some dynamic duos! This month's Birds of Slay theme is Duets, so come with a partner and show us your stuff! 

Both members of the winning duo will advance to the All Stars Finale in December. To keep things fair, duets with winners from previous months this year will not be eligible to advance. Sorry!

Birds of Slay is a drag show and competition geared towards performers wanting feedback and networking opportunities with other local producers and guest performers, it is not a paid spot but all tips belong to cast and the artist with the most cohesive performance will be asked to return for our December All Stars Finale featuring prizes through local sponsors and booking considerations! We welcome ALL forms of drag and boy/burlesque and simply ask that you limit numbers to ≈5 minutes, any additional questions can be sent to @colakingsnthings or Brayden Challah/Jean-Luc Dicard🍾


Fill out this form to perform on Friday, August 28th, at The Hoot in Rosewood, Columbia (free parking). Show starts at 9 pm, call time is 8:30 pm.

You will only have to perform one number. We will contact you to confirm your spot and get your audio to our DJ asap— mixes are welcome but please be mindful of time (no longer than 5 minutes) and proof listen on a quality speaker to ensure you have the volume you want! You can email music ahead of time to colakingsnthings@gmail.com. Please specify your drag name in the email and if there’s any trigger warnings or introductions you prefer! 

⚠️We do ask that you be cognizant of the restaurant setting by NOT climbing directly on tables as most of them ain’t made for all that attention (mindful leaning and the booths themselves are sturdy if you crave a dramatic boost), and as always, mind our fierce chandelier! She’s a sharp one😜
