THURSDAY, 5/18 from 3-6pm, our Local will be hosting a direct action training at the University Friends Meeting House (just off campus at 4001 9th Ave NE). This will be a great opportunity to learn more about a number of topics, including:
Using direct action strategically, necessary roles and steps for planning, legal rights during a direct action and safety plans!
A lawyer from the National Lawyer’s Guild will be joining via phone to provide information about your legal rights as a participant in direct actions. We’ll also brainstorm and plan strategic direct actions our Local can take in the coming weeks to continue fighting for student workers negatively impacted by the Trump administration. We hope you can make it! Feel free to email
uaw4121@uaw4121.org with any questions. Light refreshments will be provided.
FRIDAY, 5/19, 10:30am-noon BARGAINING at Roosevelt Commons West 298. -- please make it out to help demonstrate to the university that we are united and that they need to meet the critical demand of Summer funding for our members impacted by Trump's travel bans!
