INFORMED CONSENT FORM
You are being asked to participate in research conducted by Tossa Doan, Leilani Pearson, and Camila Fernandez, who is supervised by Pr. Vy Huynh at Cypress College. Participating in this research is completely voluntary, anonymous, and confidential. This study aims to explore the relationship between individual differences and interpersonal behavior.
PROCEDURE: The questionnaire will take up to 10-15 minutes. You will be asked to respond to questions about how you handle disagreements, your general personality, and attitudes towards forgiving others.
IMPORTANT CONFIDENTIALITY: Information collected by the questionnaire will be recorded separately on a different database from any signatures made on an informed consent form. The only data collected by the questionnaire will be the answers you provide. Your identity as a participant remains strictly confidential.
PURPOSE of the STUDY: The purpose of this study is to better understand how people behave and react in social situations.
POTENTIAL RISKS and DISCOMFORTS: The potential risk of psychological stress and discomfort is minimal, but questions may bring up memories of uncomfortable situations with which participants many have had to cope with. If you do not wish to answer the question, you may feel free to skip it or stop participating at any time during the study. POTENTIAL BENEFITS Benefits to the fields of psychology and sociology may include a better understanding of how people manage their interactions and respond to challenges in relationships based on their traits.
PARTICIPATION and WITHDRAWAL Participation in research is voluntary: you may choose to quit the survey at any time. You as a study participant are not required to answer all questions. To leave the survey, exit the browser.
