Please use this form to indicate your interest in the Elizabethtown Summer Strings Camp with Mr. McLaughlin & Mr. Winey. The camp will take place at Bear Creek School during the weeks of August 17-28th This is a two-week program and participating students are expected to attend all sessions.This program is designed for students in grades 4-12 at all ability levels (beginners, intermediate/ advanced). The cost per student is $50.00 and can be paid by check to Mr. McLaughlin on the first day of the summer camp program.

For BEGINNERS, this is a great opportunity to start your child's instruction before their lessons begin in the fall. Students who are involved in the camp will be given instruction in the techniques that are most valuable when beginning to play a string instrument. They will definitely be able to start the school year "ahead of the game". For INTERMEDIATE/ ADVANCED students, this will be a terrific way to “ease” back into playing after the change of schedule during the summer. Our spring concert was so successful, and we want to build on that success as we look forward to a new school year.

Mondays & Wednesdays Beginner Group 4:15-5:30 & Intermediate Group 5:45-7:00

Tuesdays & Thursdays Advanced Group 4:15-5:30 & Accelerated Advanced Group 5:45-7:00

Placement in groups is based on grade level, school lesson/ rehearsal attendance, progress/ ability level & enrollment. Group placement/ assignment will be determined by Mr. McLaughlin and Mr. Winey by the end of July.

ALL student participants will be featured in a casual recital on Friday, August 28th at 6:00pm.

Student Scholarships

The $50 fee should not be a barrier that prevents any student from being able to participate. We are offering a limited number of scholarships for families who are unable to cover the $50 participation fee. If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, please reach out to Mr. McLaughlin or Mr. Winey to be considered!
