FOOT 2019: Equity & Diversity in Performance SUBMISSION FORM
The 27th annual Festival of Original Theatre (FOOT) conference at the University of Toronto’s Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies invites proposals to our conference entitled ‘Equity & Diversity in Performance’ taking place February 15th to 17th, 2019. It asks the following question: What is the changing relationship of drama, theatre, and performance to practices which centralize equity through intersectionality?

KEY TERMS:

Academic Paper
Refers to the genre and style of writing typical of academic conferences. We welcome papers that work to destabilize traditional conference paper presentations, however, please indicate any technical requirements of your paper in the relevant fields below.

Performance
Refers to a presentation of media or bodies in space (excluding the presentation of academic papers) with an intended audience. We welcome performances that destabilize "performance theory," however, please indicate any technical requirements of your performance/presentation in the relevant fields below.

Working Group
Refers to a committee or group investigating a particular question or issue through critical inquiry. If you are a member of an existing working group, or would like to propose a topic for a working group, indicate in the relevant fields below.

Workshop
Refers to a practical seminar, or discussion-based group, that emphasizes the exchange of ideas and the demonstration and application of relevant skills and techniques. If proposing a workshop, please be as descriptive as possible regarding the nature and intended purpose of the workshop in the relevant fields below.
