RICDA Leadership Academy Application
The Rhode Island Career Development Association is launching the next Leadership Academy cohort. The Leadership Academy was created to foster leadership among, and stronger ties between career development professionals serving Rhode Islanders! There is a fee of $100 to participate in the Leadership Academy, to cover the direct expenses. Scholarships are available, and payments can be split (scholarship form: https://forms.gle/cXy2P5cTD5cJR5Vv6). In 6 "retreats" over 7 months, our Academy will explore six key pillars of Leadership: Communication, Connection, Accountability, Mission Focused, Influence, and Self Awareness. 

These sessions will be held as follows:
  • 12/7/23 (Thursday) - Welcoming and attendance at the RICDA conference
  • 1/12/24 (Friday) - 9am-4pm, in person
  • 2/9/24  (Friday)   - 12:30pm - 4:30pm, virtually
  • 3/8/24  (Friday)   - 12:30pm - 4:30pm, virtually
  • 4/12/24  (Friday)   - 9am - 4pm, in person
  • 5/10/24  (Friday)   - 12:30pm - 4:30pm, virtually
  • 6/14/24  (Friday)   - 9am-4pm, in person

Lastly, RICDA Leadership Academy participants will be assigned a team. With your team, you will work on a case study problem. This case study problem is a real scenario that presents a barrier to employment for clients. You will consult with the organization whose clients face this barrier. Teams should expect to meet once a month, in addition to the retreats. Applications close 10/15/23.
