Volunteer Opportunities *
Student Programs
  • Career Exploration Program: an opportunity to promote career exploration among our students, whether hosting job shadow opportunities, offering volunteer hours, promoting speaker events, inviting students to local trade shows, etc. (year round)
  • Reflections Art Contest: support the annual art contest, receive submissions, organize judging, recognize and thank participants (Sep/Oct timeframe)
  • Test Prep Committee: coordinate with vendors for SAT/ACT test prep courses, organize test prep resources, identify information gaps and facilitate access to such resources (year round)
  • Senior Essay Contest: get involved with our Senior Essay Contest in the Spring and celebrate the writers in our community
  • Athletic Programs: support our athletic programs by volunteering at events, helping with communication, organizing carpools, preparing snacks, and varied needs depending on the teams
Community Events
  • Club Los Padres: support our Hispanic community and promote community building events throughout the year
  • Events Committee: help plan and execute our community events throughout the year
  • Parent Volunteer Coordinator: organize volunteer sign-up for community events and other needs throughout the year
  • Speaker Events: identify topics of interest to the community, find speakers and coordinate with facilities for event planning
Grad Night Party
  • Grad Night Party Committee: many committee members needed (parents of all grades) for roles or jobs of varying size
Marketing and Communications Team
  • Social Media Manager: help to manage the PTSA communications platforms including the Parent Forum, chat tool groups and social media presence
Technical Support
  • Webmaster: support the PTSA Board by managing the multiple tools used by the organization (JotForm, Google Workplace, etc.)
Various School Activities
  • One-off volunteering: for those who can't commit to a specific role but would like to be considered for one-off needs like helping during Round Up, Staff Appreciation, Cultural Events, etc.
  • Open to placement: put me where you need me!
