We are excited to have your children join Zion's Youth Choir and Orchestra! 

Fall semester begins Monday, August 17th.

We hold our rehearsals at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden, Utah. Youth and orchestra will rehearse from 4:30-6:20 pm. The blue children’s group will rehearse from 4:30-5:20 pm and the yellow children’s group will be from 5:30-6:20pm. The children's classes are the same material and songs, just at different times.

Tuition is $250 per semester for youth and orchestra (ages 12-18) and $170 per semester for children (ages 6-11) Tuition can be paid in one payment at the beginning of the semester or in 4 payments of $62.50/$42.50. We accept Utah Fits All, Children's First Education Fund, Leadership Academy of Utah, and Harmony Ed.

Please note that your child needs to be at least 6 years old to join. If you would like to be on the waitlist for when they are over 6 years old please let us know!

We are a performing choir and we want our members to look their best at concerts and in videos. Because of this, we require certain colors to be worn at different performances. We try to pick colors that work for most families (for example, red, black, and white for Christmas performances). But there may be times when you may need to purchase items for your child that fit our color scheme. Please check the box below to indicate that you understand this.

We create beautiful music videos throughout the year and sometimes post on social media. Please check the box to indicate that you, as the parent or guardian, give us permission to share images or video of your child on the internet via social media, websites, or other means. We understand the need for privacy and safety and will never put your child's name on the internet unless you give us express permission.

For the choir: We'd love to hear your child's voice! This is optional, but we'd like to get to know them via song. Could you please share a link here (via google drive, vimeo, or youtube) of them singing? This will be helpful for directors to determine which group your child will be placed in.

For the orchestra: what instrument does your child play?
For the orchestra: Because there are so many levels of string players, the director needs to hear your child play the following:

1. Required: 
* 2 or 3 octave scale in a key of your choosing

2. Recommended: (additional)
* 3 octave arpeggio in a major and minor key of your choosing
* Bach Sonata and Partita (unless you have already submitted one of these for your required audition above)

3. Optional: (additional)
* Any other recording that features you as a soloist.
